Daycare (3 mos-4 yrs)

Healthy Beginnings: Child Development Center
The Martha’s Table Child Development Center provides a loving, caring, and supportive educational environment for children aged 3 months through 4 years.
Did You Know?
Martha's Table's Child Development Center was recently Nationally Accredited by the National Association for the Education of Young Children

Daycare Program

Our nationally accredited Child Development Center, a fully bilingual program for children ages 3 months to 4 years, explores a “Learn through play” approach, infants, toddlers and pre-schoolers are able to explore many different aspects of their development.  The educational components of the program are broad-based and teach the children about nature, reading, different cultures, science, art and computers.

The curriculum reflects our commitment to the values of cooperation, equality, and nonviolence.  The Child Development Center encourages all aspects of the children’s development – social, emotional, physical and cognitive in a setting that is safe, warm and cheerful.  The teachers help the children develop a positive self-concept and understanding of others.

We also provide help to children with special needs through partnerships with other organizations, making sure that each child is either at the appropriate development level or receiving intervention services.

Enrollment and Parent Information

Martha’s Table Child Development Center has an open, non-discriminatory enrollment policy with no application fee.  We are currently at capacity for children in our program, but we would be happy to place your child on a waiting list.  A tour of the center can be scheduled – for more information, call the childcare office at 202-328-6608 x221.

Nationally Accredited

We are proud to announce that Martha's Table just received word fro the National Assiociation for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC) granting accreditation status to our Child Development Center.

Added to our existing national accreditation for our school-age programs, we are very excited to receive this confirmation of the high quality continuum of care we are providing to our children and their families.  Especially because of the many challenges our children and families face, we believe they deserve the best.  In addition, accreditation will bring additional opportunities to our daycare and will help us sustain this excellence.
