30th Anniversary

September 2010 marks the 30th Anniversary for

Martha’s Table.

Martha’s Table has evolved over the years.  Recently, we celebrated 30 years of serving the community and quality programming with an event hosted at Jones Day on Capitol Hill.

Together we raised almost $190,000 and we could not have had such a successful event without the help of generous sponsors and in-kind donors from the community.  Thanks to the sponsors and many pro-bono services we were able to use almost $180,000 of this for our programs that help children, families and individuals. This is an especially significant accomplishment during these times that are so economically challenging for our clients and our donors.

The evening was wonderful!  We were able to showcase, thank and honor the diversity of the incredible people that have made Martha’s Table a success.  In addition, to seeing many old friends, our sponsors also introduced us to new friends.  It was great to celebrate with everyone.  The event reflected our history with soup-and-sandwiches food themes and highlighted the success of our children and youth programs with an outstanding performance by Grammy nominated artist and former Martha’s Table Teen Program member Christylez Bacon.  All of this was in the incredible setting of Jones Day’s wonderful room and terrace overlooking the Capitol.

Thank you to the following participants for being a part of the momentous occasion for Martha’s Table.  And thank you for being part of our solutions to poverty.
